Skill level: Beginner to Intermediate. Must have previously taken at least one calligraphy class or have a beginner's knowledge of one calligraphy script (copperplate, modern calligraphy, brush calligraphy, italic, etc.)

Description: As a budding calligrapher you've filled practice pages with letters, now what? In this class we will discuss: layout and design, working on quality paper, using a variety of writing mediums, how to add interest to a simple calligraphy piece and what to do if you make a mistake. Students will plan and begin a calligraphic piece in class. Please bring your favorite pen, nib and writing medium (also available for purchase at Postscript) as well as possible quotations or phrases to use in a finished piece.  Paper and other supplies provided.
